Winter semester at the Elpida Centre

The new semester is coming! Starting today, we are publishing the schedule for the next semester.
We have prepared a wide range of exercises, creative workshops, leisure activities, lectures and courses. In addition to the stalwarts you already know well, we also have a few new ones: a painting course, acting improvisation or rail walks. Autumn will definitely not be boring!
Unfortunately, due to the current economic situation and rising prices, we have been forced to adjust our price list. However, we are also compensating with several accommodating changes, many of which are based on your suggestions:
- you can check out a day in advance and get your credit back
- the credit is now valid for 10 years
- we are replacing the 5 lesson package with a discount from 5 lessons and allowing you to choose to start or skip a lesson
- we are introducing a club membership that allows you free attendance at up to 400 events per year
Club Elpida
The club membership, which costs only 290 CZK/year, allows you to attend up to 400 events for free in the coming school year. (You will find, for example, lectures on opera with Marketa Kiratli, History of Prague 5 with Pavel Fabini, ornithological lectures, Talking about Prague, Topics of Today, PC Help, chess, discussion and card club and many other events.)
- You can see the events falling under the club membership in the programme by the letter K.
- Please remember that for all club events you must register in advance (club membership does not automatically guarantee a place at the event).
- If you are unable to attend, you must sign out to avoid blocking space for others.
- Club membership refunds are available up to the first time you attend the event as part of your subscription.
- Memberships are valid for 1 year from purchase.
This is a pilot project that we will evaluate after the school year. Our motivations are: simplification of administration, maximum freedom in what you can attend, and a desire for you to see Elpida as a true haven of education, social and community life.
